It's Just a Dream: He slept last night,

miércoles, 1 de febrero de 2017

He slept last night,

He slept last night,
I dreamed that you were my sky,
Plagued with stars and comets,
Plagued with a thousand lights that formed
A thousand reflections in your eyes.
I dreamed that you were eternal, I dreamed you
Soft, free, fiery.
He slept last night and with it he dreamed,
I slept last night and I felt in my chest
Your face, your chest and your hands,
Your body, your feelings,
Your being, full of mysteries.
Last night I played when I felt your touch on my skin,
You were a light last night that illuminated my silence.
It was you, it was me, we were both, it was us,
You and I, one only, for an infinite moment,
I was yours, you were mine, we were one.
Your skin was my skin, your sweat confused with mine,
My hair tangled in your hands, our bodies
Entangled in a single, silent, beautiful,
Full of nuances, plagued with a thousand lights and colors.
Last night, I thought I was asleep,
I thought you were just a fantasy, I thought I died.
Last night, you, my heaven, filled my life with joy,
It was you, it was us, we were a sky
Once again and forever,

Plagued with stars and comets.

"That night when you kissed me, I left a poem in your mouth, and you can hear some of the lines every time you breathe out" -Andrea Gibson
